As one of seven corporate officers on the executive team in her current role as Chief Commercial Officer of Dermira, a publicly traded biotech focused on medical dermatology, Lori is actively engaged in Investor Relations, including regularly presenting on quarterly calls and at the podium at roadshows and investor conferences. As the strategic, financial, and operational leader of the portfolio, she regularly interacts with the Dermira Board of Directors and co-leads the Patient Value and Commercialization Committee. Over the course of her tenure, she has grown the commercial team from 5 employees to nearly 200 to meet significantly expanded demand for Dermira’s lead asset, QBREXZA®, which launched in October 2018 and is estimated to generate $500 to $600 million in peak year sales. She has broad experience with equity, convertible, and traditional debt financing transactions, and guided a small Dermira executive team through the company’s largest transaction to date, i.e., a $1-billion deal with Roche-Genentech to acquire worldwide rights to lebrikizumab, a biologic under development for atopic dermatitis. The company has not provided specific guidance but expects lebrikizumab to be a blockbuster when it reaches peak sales.
LINDA MAYER recently served as President / CEO of a $750m international manufacturing company and has served on boards and committees of privately held companies and non-profit organizations. She is a certified SEC financial expert with a Wharton MBA. Linda rose through successive leadership roles in global companies with functional expertise in finance, strategy, marketing and product development. DR. MARINA MESIN-ZAGAR is the Associate Director and a Global Sector Lead at USC Marshall’s Graduate Programs were she mostly focuses on corporate relations in the finance industry. Dr. Mesin-Zagar joined USC Marshall as a Visiting Scholar and subsequently was the Director of the USC Corporate Governance Summit. Prior to joining USC, she was the Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb, where she taught classes in strategic management, corporate governance and business strategy at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Jana joined Herbalife from the multi-billion-dollar electric utility company, Southern California Edison Company (SCE), where she served as the Chief Security Officer charged with transforming security services for SCE, a major part of the key national infrastructure. Business Resiliency was her responsibility, including the creation and management of SCE’s Emergency Operation’s Center; Threat
Management Program; Information Asset Security; Intelligence and Risk Analysis; Compliance, Investigations; and Executive Protection. Jana also assumed a leadership role in developing external partnerships with federal, state, and local law enforcement, in addition to forging public/private alliances with security entities in all facets of private industry.
Before entering the corporate arena, Jana had a distinguished 22-year career in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). She held a variety of increasingly responsible field investigative and operational roles, and executive leadership roles across the U.S., including five plus years as a “Criminal Profiler” at Quantico, VA. She was the first female profiler in the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, the unit portrayed in the TV show “Criminal Minds” and she advised Jodie Foster in her role as Clarisse Starling in the movie “Silence Of the Lambs”. Her career culminated with Jana pioneering as one of few women in the FBI Executive Leadership ranks. She served as Special Agent in Charge (SAC) in Los Angeles, California, and Phoenix, Arizona two of the largest FBI field offices in the U.S.; and was the first Assistant Director of the FBI Cyber Division, based in Washington D.C.
DR. ALFRED OSBORNE
DR. ALFRED E. OSBORNE JR. Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Global Economics, management and Entrepreneurship at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management and Faculty Director of the Harold and Pauline Price Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Dr. Osborne currently serves as a director of Kaiser Aluminum, Inc., Wedbush, Inc., and the First Pacific Advisors (FPA) Family of mutual funds. His non-profit affiliations include serving as Chair and Trustee of Fidelity Charitable, a trustee of Harvard-Westlake School and a director or the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation.
He has served many years on the corporate boards of Times Mirror Company, US Filter Corporation, Greyhound Lines, Inc., First Interstate Bank of California, Nordstrom, Inc. and K2, Inc., among others. He has served as an economic fellow at the Brookings Institution and directed studies at the SEC that contributed to changes in Rule 144, Regulation D, and other exemptive requirements to the securities laws designed to lower costs and improve liquidity and capital market access to venture capitalists and emerging growth firms alike.
Osborne was educated at Stanford University where he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, and MBA in Finance, and MS in Economics and aPh.D in Business Economics.
HOSHI PRINTER has more than four decades of impressive board, general and financial management experience spanning a wide range of industries. His expertise includes board roles especially in audit committees, dealing with Wall Street, capital raising, improving operational effectiveness, and restructuring organizations. He serves on the boards of one public company and three private companies and is the Chair of Audit Committee on all four boards. FREDDIE REISS retired from his role as Senior Managing Director in the FTI Corporate Finance/Restructuring practice in 2013. Mr. Reiss has over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, cash management, liquidation analysis, covenant negotiations, forensic accounting and valuation. He specializes in advising on bankruptcies, reorganizations, business restructuring and providing expert witness testimony for underperforming companies. He has also acted as interim management, a fiduciary and chief restructuring officer and trustee.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Reiss was a partner and west region leader at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he co-founded the Business Restructuring Services Practice. Mr. Reiss holds an M.B.A. from City University of New York’s Baruch College and a B.B.A. from City College of New York’s Bernard Baruch School of Business. Mr. Reiss is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has completed the Director Education and Certification Program at the John E. Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
BRUCE is a senior finance and operational executive that has led business operations for companies across a multitude of industries. His expertise spans venture capital,private equity and publicly traded companies where he has led the IPO process. With a strong background in public-offerings, start-ups, turnaround and rapid growth situations, Bruce has managed complete financial operations using industry best practices around systems automation and has directed major national and international financial and marketing programs as well as overseen multimilliondollar production and distribution operations.
Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Public Accounting Certifications. Most recently Bruce was the EVP/CFO for Robbins Bros. Jewelry, Inc., and prior that he held the EVP/CFO role for both Show Pavilion and Guitar Center.
Famous for creating one of California’s top destinations for satisfying the sweet tooth, Susan is a twenty-five-year veteran of the hospitality industry. Upon graduation from Cornell University’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration, she spent five years in event planning and catering at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts throughout the county. She then lent her talents to the sales and catering departments of a variety of renowned hospitality groups, including the esteemed Mobil 5-Star/AAA 5-Diamond Everest restaurant in Chicago and Ian Schrager’s Clift Hotel in San Francisco.
Although she enjoyed the restaurant business, Susan reminisced about baking alongside her grandmothers. She craved home-style, American treats made from scratch, with real ingredients, which had largely been replaced by the processed desserts found at most grocery stores. Combining her business savvy with the treasured 3”x 5” recipe cards passed down from her grandmothers Mildred and Madeline, she opened SusieCakes in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles in 2006. Serving up everything from classic layer cakes to moist, decadent cupcakes to seasonal fruit pies, SusieCakes’ delicious desserts and old-fashioned atmosphere quickly became a neighborhood favorite. Demand for the trademark home-baked taste has expanded beyond Southern California to include Northern California and Texas.
Susan is the proud recipient of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year ™ Award in the Hospitality category in Greater Los Angeles as well as the Junior League of Los Angeles Community Achievement Award. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the California Restaurant Association.
AMY SCHIOLDAGER retired in January 2017 from BlackRock after more than 25 years as Senior Managing Director and Head of the Index Equity business. In that role, she managed $2.5 trillion in assets and $3.5 billion in revenue. Amy was responsible for managing all aspects of the evolving Global Index equity business: overseeing investment portfolios, managing the operating and investment risk across a global platform, advancing technology solutions and managing client relationships across multiple client segments. Her team included 160 portfolio managers, research analysts & strategists across 7 countries. Additionally, she sat on the Global Executive Committee, the most senior governing body at BlackRock and was Vice-Chair for BlackRock’s Corporate Governance Committee Amy founded the Women’s Network (WIN), the first employee affinity group, at BlackRock in 2006. Since leaving the corporate executive world, Amy has built a portfolio career sitting on public/private and non-profit boards. She serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of American International Group (AIG) a NYSE Fortune 100 company, Intermediate Capital Group, a London based public specialty asset manager, Boardspan, an early stage start-up in San Francisco and Aperio, a private asset manager in Sausalito. Amy does non-profit work centered around advancing women and girls and speaks on topics to further empower women. Amy earned her a BSc degree in Business Administration from California State University, East Bay.

JANICE SEARS is Independent Director of Essex Property Trust. She is also Independent Director of Invitation Homes, and is current Independent Director and former Board Chair of The Swig Company. She is Past Independent Director of BioMed Realty Trust until its sale to Blackstone Real Estate in January 2016. Janice acts as Advisor and nominated Independent Director to HELIX RE, a real estate software start-up funded by DFJ, Google Ventures and the Government of Singapore, Independent Advisor to the Audit Committee of the San Francisco Art Institute, and Director of QUALIC, the real estate arm of Compass Family Services.Previously, Janice held the position of Managing Director, Western Region Head in the Real Estate, Gaming & Lodging Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. ROBERT SEIDLER is the cofounder of Seidler Equity Partners, LP (“SEP”) and has been an accomplished private equity investor for over 25 years. The idea behind SEP was to build a firm that partnered with very successful business owners to navigate aggressive growth without the constraints of high leverage, outside control, management fees and artificial short-term investment windows, that are typical of private equity. Robert sits on SEP’s investment committee and shares overall leadership responsibilities for the firm’s activities. SEP invests patient capital into owner operated growth businesses as both a minority or majority partner. Since 1992, SEP has invested in over 40 companies in fields including manufacturing, service, distribution, medical and consumer brands. Today SEP oversees funds in both the US and Australia and manages over $2 billion in assets. Robert has been active on numerous SEP Boards including LA Fitness, P.A.D.I., Sportsman’s Warehouse, Paragon Medical, Windy City Wire, Solaray, Aden & Anais, Tomah Products and Lodging Enterprises. Robert also sits on non-profit Boards at Villanova University, The Love & Art Children’s Foundation and the RA5 Foundation.

CHRISTOBEL SELECKY is a chief executive, entrepreneur and board member with more than 30 years experience in the healthcare industry.
She serves on corporate boards of directors and, through her independent consultancy, Population Health Strategies, helps management teams, companies, and healthcare investors improve patient engagement, population health outcomes, and healthcare cost management. KIRK A. WALDRON
KIRK A. WALDRON, CPA (inactive) is a senior executive having worked in the capacity as CFO/CEO of both public and privately held companies with aggregate enterprise value in excess of $500 million. Until recently, Kirk Waldron had been Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of Qual-Pro Corporation. Previously, Mr. Waldron was the CFO of Classic Party Rentals, the largest party and event rental company in the country operating in fourteen states with 2,500 employees. Prior to Classic, Mr. Waldron was CFO and then President for SMTEK International, a publicly traded electronics contract manufacturer. During the last two years of Mr. Waldron’s tenure, SMTEK experienced
a 71% increase in revenue while returning to significant profitability, allowing the company to be sold at over $15.00 per share (a 40x improvement).
Mr. Waldron has a degree in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Southern California and spent four years in the audit group of Ernst & Young in Los Angeles where he earned his CPA license. Mr. Waldron previously served on the Board of Reptron Electronics, a publicly traded company and also served on the Board of State Fish, Inc, a privately held company. Mr. Waldron currently is a Board member and Audit Committee Chairman of InfoSonics, a $50 million, publicly traded wireless handset international distributor in San Diego.

Grace has worked across early stage to late stage companies as a CFO, Head of Strategy, Advisor and Board member.
